How we handle your data.
Last updated 2026-06-24
We're a one-person studio based in Darwin. We care about not being creepy with your data. Here's exactly what happens when you use this site.
What we collect
When you send a message through the contact form, we collect your name, email, and the message itself. That's it.
We also use Google Analytics to understand how people find and use the site. It sets cookies and collects standard usage data, such as the pages you view, how you got here, your approximate location, and general device and browser details.
Why we collect it
So we can write back. That's the whole reason.
Where it goes
Messages are delivered to the founder's inbox by Resend, our transactional email provider, and stored there like any other email. The site itself runs on Vercel.
We don't sell, rent, or share your message with anyone.
How long we keep it
Until you ask us to delete it, or until it's no longer relevant to an active enquiry.
Cookies and analytics
We use Google Analytics, a service from Google, to measure traffic and see which pages are useful. Google sets cookies on your device and processes this data on our behalf. You can read how Google handles it at policies.google.com/privacy.
We also advertise with Google Ads. The same Google tag lets us see when one of our ads led to an enquiry. We only ever see this as aggregate results, not as a way to identify you personally.
If you'd rather not be measured, you can use your browser's privacy settings, an ad blocker, or Google's opt-out browser add-on. The site works exactly the same either way.
Your rights
Under the Australian Privacy Principles, you can ask to see what we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted. Email hello@jblabs.com.au and we'll sort it.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of the page.
